Invisalign in Coral Springs and Parkland

If your teen would prefer a more comfortable and discreet alternative to braces, clear aligner treatment may be the answer. At Carmona Smiles, we offer Invisalign invisible aligners to patients who want straighter teeth without metal brackets and wires. Our friendly and professional team is here to help determine if Invisalign is right for your teen’s needs.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign invisible aligner treatment moves teeth into the desired position without the need for brackets and wires. This orthodontic treatment uses a series of custom-made, clear plastic aligner trays to gently shift your teeth over time. Each aligner is worn for one to two weeks as prescribed by our dentists. For the best results, aligners must be worn at least 20 to 22 hours a day.

Benefits of Invisalign

Invisalign offers a variety of benefits, including:

  • Discreet treatment: The aligner trays are practically invisible, making them ideal for people who want to correct their teeth without visible metal in their mouth. This can be a huge benefit for patients who experience anxiety about braces treatment.
  • Improved oral hygiene: Patients will never have to worry about brackets or wires preventing good oral hygiene. Brush and floss your teeth normally to maintain good oral health.
  • Comfort: Invisalign trays are removable. Take aligners out when eating or drinking. There are no limitations on what can be eaten!
  • Ease of care: Invisalign is easier to take care of than traditional braces. Rinse aligners every night and brush them using a soft-bristled brush to keep them clean.
  • Peace of mind: For teen patients, the aligners will come will blue compliance indicators to assure parents their child is wearing them enough.

Does Invisalign hurt?

There may be some pressure or discomfort when wearing a new set of aligners. This sensation is normal and will pass in a few days as the mouth adjusts to the fit of the new aligners.

What’s the difference between Invisalign and braces?

The primary difference between Invisalign and dental braces is that Invisalign is virtually invisible and can be removed to eat, drink, brush and floss. Invisalign provides many of the same benefits as braces and can be used to treat a variety of orthodontic issues.

Who is a candidate for Invisalign?

Invisalign works best for patients with mild to moderate orthodontic issues. For patients with more complex dental problems, braces may be more effective. Schedule a consultation to find out more. Our team will work to create a treatment plan to meet your teen’s unique needs.
